Here is a stainless steel top clamp for your 1970’s BMW R series Motorcycle. Handsomely machined from T304 Stainless Steel plate and polished to a high luster. The clamp is thicker than stock for added rigidity. The under side has a slight (1.5mm) counter bore that captures the top of the fork tubes. This design is the answer to the thin steel plate that many complain about. The stock look makes it a perfect upgrade for the rider that wants to keep the original look.
No modifications (cutting) are necessary to your headlight ears.
