The shock Absorbers will fit all twin shock airheads up to 1984, however they do NOT fit R45 and R65 models - see: Shock7610-1427.
The polished aluminum top cover is installed for a period correct looking shock for the R50/5, R60/5 and R75/5 models.
In addition these shocks give you a slightly taller ride because they are longer than the original shocks by approximately 1/2" - this does improves handling.
